Maybe it’s that one unexpected event that you had no control over; maybe it’s a culmination of a lot of seemingly smaller challenges over a long time. Regardless, you’re having a hard time and wondering if and when you’ll feel better. I’m here to help you get to that future.
When I was a photographer, I realized that my projects all revolved around my curiosity and compassion for people. Ultimately, my intrinsic desire to directly help others lead more positive lives won out and I have since made an intentional career change into behavioral healthcare. My experiences help me to look at your struggles within the greater context, and I bring authenticity and humor to my work with you. As a clinical social worker, I know a lot about how to slow down your hectic life, help you explore your dreams and hopes, while also striving to develop creative new ways of coping in general.
I work with individuals who face difficulties adjusting to new changes, unforeseen life transitions, symptoms of anxiety & depression and who might also have concerns in their primary relationships. I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, particularly those living with brain injury. I tailor my approach and interventions based on your specific needs and personality. I’m licensed as a master’s clinical social worker in Maryland and see clients part-time in private practice.
I currently accept: Carefirst/BCBS, Cigna/Johns Hopkins EHP, United Healthcare and Tricare insurances
