Part of the human experience means we are not protected from facing times that are difficult and painful. These hard to deal with emotions are ones that I like to approach with curiosity as they attempt to communicate something important or simply that something does not feel right. I recognize that these messages contribute to the story that we tell ourselves, they signal to what is getting in the way, and offer critical insight into what we would like to be different. I believe that each person is the expert in their own lives, and that a collaborative therapeutic relationship can sometimes help during times when things feels stuck.

I am a Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from California State University Fullerton, a Masters degree in Human Service Counseling with an emphasis in Military Resilience from Liberty University, and lastly a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. I am a military spouse, and originally from Southern California, but the military has taken our family to various parts of the U.S. stretching from coast to coast. I began my professional experience working as a behavior therapist where I worked closely with families who have children diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. It was through that role that I discovered my interest for working with and the critical importance of relationships.

I am passionate about being a relational therapist and exploring the relationships that we find ourselves a part of. I recognize how our relationships are an aspect of our lives that can influence us to be the people that we are today. It is my belief that the quality of our lives is linked to the quality of our relationships with ourselves and others. Additionally, I have a deep understanding of how strengths can serve as an agent for change. I am dedicated to help those that I work with to identify those strengths in a way that can help with achieving growth and overcoming challenges or adversity. In my approach you can expect a therapeutic environment that is authentic, nonjudgmental, and filled with empathy and compassion as you lean into the discomfort that naturally comes with discovery and growth.

I also acknowledge that it takes courage to share your story, and am honored and committed to meeting you where you are with the invitation of walking with you on your journey.
